This is the information on him provided by the wiki:

Occasionally spawns Djiggas while fighting. (Not completely proven: Total of 6 Djiggas spawned when LS did this Marid, but since it was not a successful run we are not sure if 6 is the maximum spawned. If this is so, LS member (BLM) tested if the Djigga can be kited in a big circle when the LS wiped, it is possible with enough distance, around 12-15 was distance running as him being BLM. Since chigoes crit hit alot and damage hard, a suggestion is to have someone with alot of defense or with enough defense gear to kite away far around the wall to kill the Marid. But also not proven.)
A strategy to avoid the Djiggas CAN be the following (needs to be proven)
Last 4th run we had 1 NIN/WAR left beeing not in the main-ally, he alone fought the Marid while 6 Djiggas were out too BUT ignoring him all the time - and he fought the Marid right beside the Djiggas. If this is a Bug or the Key to make it easier:
-Put 1 - 3 Member ( PLD/NIN + RDM or SCH for Graviga would be good ) outside of the Ally alone in a party.
They alone attack and kite the Marid (beware of draw-in, have Buffs up all time) until he spawns first 2-3 Djiggas.
Stay alive as good as possible vs. them (graviga) and keep kiting until he spawns the next Djiggas set - when there are 6 Djiggas out > die (you will for sure anyway).²
If kite party dies before 6 Djiggas are out you need to find more "victims".
Nobody outside of this party should interact in any way helping them of course.
Repeatedly uses TP-Attack, Proboscis Shower, healing itself for anywhere from 1,000-10,000 HP. Is stunnable, however the stun window is quite short and he builds complete resistance to Stun after about 5-10 minutes of steady stunning.
Uses single target Draw In, which deters kiting. However, the boss can be kited and damaged over time. This kiting will be similar to the way a player can kite Adamantoise or Aspidochelone to one side of the zone in Cape Teriggan to avoid aggro of other monsters. Even though the player will be drawn in, they can keep running forward to move the mob.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So far I've fought this thing twice and the first time i did it my group lasted a good bit with blms combined agas on the chigoes when they spawn. They dont have much hp, but i can confirm that once they die they do come back rather quickly and they hit hard. The kite strategy above sounds good, tho I'm not sure how many chigoes spawn at a given time or what job other than a mage could claim all off the spawns at once when they do pop.

Thinking about this in detail, considering how hard the monster hits and his ability to call pets(I recall being hit pretty hard and having to use my 2hour to even by me about 2 minutes up with it). Its attack speed seemed moderate and idk if we had Slow or Slow II on it at any time.

1. Nin/War or Pld/nin tanks at least 2 on either side: Being the mob hits so hard it would be a strain on mage mp to keep straight pld/war tank alive for fight duration. Nin/war tanks with standard enmity/dmg down/hp up tanking gear(arhats, jelly ring, bomb queen ring etc).

2. DD/Thf jobs for hate control on the /Nin tanks: The spike dmg from SATA steel cyclone or tachi Gekko couldnt hurt and i dont see any single tank being able to last against the marid for a whole fight unless he had 4 whms at his desposal. Jobs not subbin thf would of course be thfs themselves, rngs, mages etc.

3. Pld/War and any Nin/war not tanking the marid to voke chigoes when they spawn: This part here can pretty much make or break the battle from what i gather. As the chigoe spawn it will be the role of these jobs to voke/flash/ninjutsu them away from the main battle and kite/hold in order for blms to nuke them dead. 2 extra pld and say 1 extra nin would be enough to handle at max 6 chigoe considering 1 pld can take about 2 chigoe(flash/voke) and a nin could do the same(voke/ninjutsu). Also considering that not all 6 chigoe spawn at one time which would make this much easier to do.

4. Blm party : During the clearing of normal monsters, basic duties are sleeping any adds and nuking for finishing kills. Come time for Marid, blms have a stun rotation set for posboscri shower(if i spelled that right). This move will give the marid back 1k -10k of his hp and we cannot have that. He grows resistant to stuns over time but that move needs to be stopped. I'd have blms focus on Stun rotation first and all but the one next for stun focus on chigoe control with a few timely nukes on the Marid.

5 Puller/s: should not be engaged in battle until Mega is pulled, which by that time room should be cleared. Puller needs to be mindful of battlefield in case 1 of the 4 special mobs pops because we should aim to always kill those when they do. 1 of them "weakens" the mobs in the field and that would be a great advantage and another if left alone "strengthens" them and that we cannot have.

6: Party distribution: 3 main tanks teamed with a brd, whm, rdm for obvious reasons(mambo, minne, march, phalanx II etc). 1 tank in blm party and all tanks in same alliance(assuming we go in with 1 and 1/2 alliance at least). 2 DD/thf assigned to 1 tank specifically as SATA buddies  so on each side of the Marid u have 1 tank and 2 DD to SATA off him.

Still many variables to consider, with the limited info on the mob its hard to make an iron clad plan. We know he has Draw in so kiting is possible but would be extremely slow going. Plus to kite something that can call pets during the kite would mean death to the kiter especially in a long lasting fight. We dont know how much HP this monster has but assuming we have 30 mins max and the fact he can heal himself for huge chunks of hp at a time, I am assuming his hp isn't high at all and we can whittle him with melee attacks.

but this is my idea and any feedback on it is appreciated and glad to have the chance to voice my opinion.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Crim/I did some research and so far this is one strategy that's come up:

1) Make a party of 1-3 members (pld/nin + rdm/sch with graviga would be good) outside of the main ally party (this means that they are a party off to themselves)

2)this party goes in and attacks the marid ALONE and attempts to kite him (draw in makes this hard) and makes sure they have buffs up all the time! This is until it spawns the first 2-3 chigoes

3)Keep alive as well as possible using graviga on the marid and the chigoes and keep kiting the marid until he spawns the other chigoes.

4) when the last set of chigoes spawn the kite party needs to die.  (Supposedly 6 is the maximum number he can spawn).  If the kite party dies before 6 chigoes spawn, you need to find more people willing to sacrifice themselves.

Note: This strategy has NOT been proven as of the posting of the article.

Ok i have an idea about the marid and the morbol mega boss's.They both have an ability stealing move.So we have nothing but drks engage with soul eater up.Marid and morbol both eat soulater and use it on us.Id go invinsible on the MB, this will cause him to turn all hate on me.he will be using soul eater so its hp will drain pretty quickly on me.When MB gets low on health we stun to keep him from using his healing move and have melee go at him.In addition we have 6 dd's take on the chigoes while this happends.Im sure one dedicated  healer and brd can cover them with little issues.the 6 who fight chigoes only use ws's on mega boss for added damage.
