StreamliningThis was the first end game event i have ever done, so apologies if any of this seems obvious..
As soon as the main lamp is exchanged at the gate the count down starts, therefore we need to distribute the lamps asap and then get inside.
So this is my proposal:
everyone but party leaders move away from the gate and parties cluster together. once the Boss gets the first glowing lamp he trades the other alliance leader
alliance leaders trade with party leaders, then leaders move to their group,
party leaders first trade with a designated #2, the party leader and the #2 trade to the remaining party members.
If you are a non-leader, move to the gate and trade but don't accept to enter yet once you have your lamp
party leader's are last members to approach gate.
once alliance leaders see his sub bosses at the gate they move forward, with alliance leaders at gate one calls entry.
Obviously sounds a bit complicated but requires some organisation/cooperation before getting the first lamp BUT should save time (even if only a few mins) overall.
Any flaws?

well v i distribute the lamp to the pty leaders who in turn distrubute them to party memebers.Its how we do it for just about every event.I think yesterday the problem was most the people in my party are usually party leaders themselves and are sued to trading for the lamp or glass as itm ay be.Time doesnt start clicking away until i enter the zone.I dont enter the zone until everyone has a glass.trading the glass to the entry gate shouldnt take very muich time.I only had to make three trades to get all the pty leaders a lamp.They in turn only had to make 4-5 copies and pass them out.I prefer to have one person doing it as its easier to have one person certain that everyone in there party got a pearl.That way i dont have to ask 8 people instead of 4 if all glasses got distributed.This also makes ony party leaders responcible for making sure there is a lamp for all party members.If this takes a minute or so more then that is ok with me.The only thing as far as all of this is concered is the trading of gil for the lamp.Im going to have party leaders collect entry fee's from the members.They in turn can trade me the gil before or after the run.
And v it really is a good idea except for that fact that it creates more work for me and im already overworked.I will however designate a last person to enter.Vimes seems like a good candidate =)
Btw v any endgame event trades glasses or lamps the same way we did it.Trade to party leaders,party leaders distribute entry item to party members..Its one of those general things that any player who does end game events expects.It helps the rest of us from having to retrain people with a new system.Its my fault for not letting you know all of this before the run and having you as a party leader.I have a great deal to do before and during each run v.Id need a lot of help to do something like that and it would take a good deal of time just getting everyone to do it.Its only a 30 minute event.I know it was probably miserable for you and maxx waiting the few extra minutes before the run and im sure you 2 would have liked to have enter sooner.This is only our second run and it is still getting organized.People will get the hang of the times and will start to make it on time.If not ill yell at them.

my bad, mis-understood the timing thing, thought it started when u activated the glowing lamp.
but yea party leader's take groups money sounds good to me
I don't mind being last to enter as long as i don't get shut out 
nah waiting around wasn't too much of a problem, was just concerned in case we were wasting time flaffing rather than fighting

no i have 10 minutes to enter form the time i trade the lamp and get the other lamp.Our 30 minute time limit begins when i enter the chamber.
